  • AXS Tournaments

AXS is a bowling tournament that takes place at different centers around the State of Rhode Island, but the majority take place at Old Mountain Lanes and Walnut Hill Bowl. The tournaments take place on any kind of oil pattern, from the House shot to PBA shots. All events are handicapped 100% of 200, and there is a variety of events that take place throughout the year. Each event is only $30 entry if you pre-register, $35 if you walk-in the day of the event.  The goal of AXS is to provide an experience to bowlers who are just starting their tournament career, or those that already have some but want to challenge themselves.

Also, there is a season long points Championship where the bowlers with the most points from the entire season will bowl for BONUS CASH in the final event of the season!  At the end of the season there is an Invitational event where $1000's of dollars are up for grabs.  To Qualify, all you have to do is bol 5 regular season events.

This year, there is also the added bonus of anyone who bowls fourty games in either AXS or RI State tournaments, or any combination of the two may enter the 2018 RI USBC Masters Event.  This event is the most prestigious event the State runs all year, with the winner making $1000 cash and earning a spot in the USBC Masters Event in any of the next three seasons.

  • Kings & Queens

Kings & Queens is our monthly 9-pin No Tap tournament. Started in 2009, Kings & Queens is a friendly, non competitive tournament where the rules are slightly different than most tournaments. First of all, you only have to knock down 9 pins to record a strike. Second, teams MUST consist of one man and one woman, where Ladies start the first frame of every game and bowl all the odd frames, and gentlemen bowl all the even frames.

Teams bowl 4 games and drop their lowest score. Top three teams get paid cash, and there is also a mystery score awarded. Oranges pins are placed in the machines, and anyone who throws a strike with an orange head pin earns a FREE game for future use.
